Two hours with Eckhart Tolle

Last weekend I went to London to see Eckhart Tolle speak. The talk was about two hours and a lot of it came down to something very simple: how much time we spend thinking about things that aren’t actually happening right now. I recognised myself in that immediately. I can analyse conversations long after they happened, think about everything I still need to do or start worrying about something that hasn’t even happened yet. And for some reason, my brain especially likes doing

The Siam – My Bangkok Hideaway

Bangkok is always buzzing: tuk tuks, scooters, street food, people everywhere. And then there’s The Siam. Walking through those gates felt like stepping into another ( more quiet) world. You’re surrounded by lush tropical greenery, winding garden paths and the river flowing gently beside the hotel. I felt myself slow down almost instantly after a busy day on the city. My room was enormous, with high ceilings, beautiful dark wood and the kind of bed you never want to leave.

Restaurant De Kas

I had heard about De Kas so many times, mostly because of their farm to table approach, but I didn’t fully get it until I was there in Amsterdam. The restaurant sits in a greenhouse, just outside the centre, surrounded by its own gardens, and almost everything you eat is grown there or sourced very locally. It’s not something they explain in a heavy way, it’s just how they work. You can feel it in the menu. There’s no real choice, just what’s ready that day, what’s in season

Studying Sound Healing in Brussels

Over the past few years, I had experienced several sound healings in places like Ibiza and the Cotswolds. Every single time, I walked out feeling different somehow. Calmer. Lighter. More grounded. What fascinated me most was that it wasn’t only emotional. You could physically feel the effect of sound moving through the body in a way that’s difficult to fully explain until you experience it yourself. That curiosity stayed with me for years and eventually led me to spend a week

A Visit to the Embassy of the Free Mind

Last week I visted the Embassy of the Free Mind. Hidden inside a historic canal house in Amsterdam, this is not a museum in the traditional sense. It feels more like stepping into a world of old ideas, symbols and forgotten ways of looking at life. I came for the Hermetic texts, alchemical drawings and rare books, but what stayed with me most was the feeling of the place. There were diagrams connecting the human body to the cosmos, symbolic drawings of trees and planets, old

On attention

I can sit in a park and look at flowers or plants for a long time, longer than most people would probably find normal. I end up looking at the leaves, the texture, the different shades of green, the small details you only notice when you actually stay with it. It’s a very specific way of looking. You either do it, or you don’t. And it’s the same thing that happens at Museum Plantin-Moretus. The botanical drawings there are so precise that you can’t really look at them quickl

Energy Is the New Luxury

I’ve been feeling this more and more in my own life lately. For a long time, everything was about accumulation. Visibility, things, noise. And somehow that became the definition of success. But it doesn’t feel right anymore to me. There’s this quiet shift happening. People are starting to care less about how things look, and more about how they feel. Energy matters more now. How someone shows up, how a place makes you feel, how you feel in your own body. It’s no longer just
