Energy Is the New Luxury

I’ve been feeling this more and more in my own life lately. For a long time, everything was about accumulation. Visibility, things, noise. And somehow that became the definition of success. But it doesn’t feel right anymore to me.

There’s this quiet shift happening. People are starting to care less about how things look, and more about how they feel. Energy matters more now. How someone shows up, how a place makes you feel, how you feel in your own body. It’s no longer just about money or status. You can feel the difference between someone who has everything, and someone who is actually well.

In daily life, it shows up in small ways. Less desire for constant scrolling, less tolerance for processed food, noise, overstimulation. More need for calm, for real conversations, for things that actually nourish you. You feel it in hospitality too. The places that stay with you are not necessarily the most impressive ones, but the ones where you feel received. Where there is warmth, attention, something genuine and authentic. Almost like the energy of a place matters more than what’s on the plate.

And even in fashion, it’s becoming less about showing wealth and more about expressing something real: your authentic personality. You can see it. Some people are dressed, others feel aligned.
It’s subtle, but it’s happening. We’re moving away from a world that was built on appearance, into something much more about energy, connection, and presence.
Not towards more, but towards what actually gives you life. With love, Sofie
